Scrappy Trip Around the World

The quilt is done! After long admiring the scrappy trip and making a traditional trip around the world baby blanket, I'm linking to Finish It Up Friday.

I used four fabrics for the back. After it was done, I loved the yellow on the back so much I would have used more if I had more. It was nice to finish up these pieces.

Click on images for a closer view. The dogs have embraced it as their own. Proof that everyone needs comfort and security. It is quilted in an all-over pattern by Quilted Works. Very much enjoyed making. After two scrappy finishes I'm halfway through the Swoon quilt; we spent quite a while collecting fabrics. Nice to be more deliberate with color. A good exercise for this scrappy mind.

Those are just gorgeous! I particularly love how VERY quilted they are! I love all of the intricate, little stitches -- that is what makes a quilt extra beautiful, in my opinion. I commend you for your hard work. Enjoy the fruits of your labors! Will you be making a quilt for the little one?
